At the same time, he pursued his studies in Architecture, which he completed in 1992, graduating as an architect from the University of Florence with the thesis: “History of Construction Systems in Upholstered Furniture.”
In 1994, Stefano and Raffaele founded the ARKA studio.
In 1997, they won first prize in the “Esaedro Competition” with a product (a compactable armchair), awarded and recognized during the “Interzum” fair in Cologne by a committee chaired by Rolf Benz.
Stefano received the “Best Products Presented” recognition at the Birmingham fair for two consecutive years: (NEC) 2005 (model 371) and 2006 (model 434). The products were developed in collaboration with Incanto Divani.
In 2012, Stefano Bonavita (ARKA Studio), in collaboration with Cotta Collection, received the Best Product Award at the Poznań Fair with the “Resort” model.
In 2021, with a product developed in partnership with Creation (model 844), he received the Most Innovative Product Award during the Esprit Meuble fair in Paris.
Today, Stefano Bonavita collaborates with several prestigious companies, including Egoitaliano, Creation, Max Divani, ItaliaLiving, and Suffa.
