In 2009 he joined FABRICA, Benetton's renowned communication research centre in Italy, where he worked with design icons such as Benetton itself and Zanotta. This experience inspired him to set up his own studio in 2010, launching a career marked by international exploration, with chapters in London, Berlin, Paris, Budapest and now Lisbon.
Gonçalo is known for finding unexpected solutions, combining materials and production methods to create
imaginative, distinctive pieces. Blending charm and pragmatism, he works with international brands on furniture design and consultancy, producing work that is functional and at times surprising.
